Chinese Cuisine

Little Village Noodle House

Little Village Noodle House is one of the most popular restaurants in Chinatown.

There are basically four distinct styles of Chinese cuisine, based on geographical areas of China, including Southern China famous for Cantonese cuisine, with its subtle sauces; Western China with its excellent spicy Szechuan cuisine, including Kung Pao Chicken, Pork, Beef or Shrimp; Northern China with it's hardier dishes such as Mongolian Hot Pot as well as Peking Duck; and Eastern China cuisine featuring the slow "red cooking" of Shanghai/Fukien, as well as fresh seafood and clear soups.

Other regional cuisines include Hong Kong, Mandarin and Shantung. Most restaurants in the U.S. feature Cantonese cuisine.
