Manoa Valley Theatre has been in Hawaii for over 35 seasons and is one of Hawaii's most celebrated and exciting theatres. Its focus is mainly on contemporary, mainstream Broadway and off-Broadway productions. The Theatre was originally founded in 1969 by a group of graduate students from the University of Hawaii Theatre Department and became the Manoa Valley Theatre after major renovations in 1987.

Six performances are selected each season that are entertaining but also offer stimulating and educational opportunities to Hawaii's community of actors and craftsmen. The annual season runs from September through August.
